Who doesn't love a GREAT pen? Read on...
Market Penmaker pens by Barry Pitt are handcrafted from the finest materials in the Pacific Northwest, on Vashon Island, Washington. The woods used are of the highest quality, and dried for 3 years before even being touched! Barry then hand turns each pen individually on a lathe. He hand sands, kiln dries (twice) and then finishes each one to last virtually a lifetime. The metal fittings he uses are also the very best and are crafted by a machinist who applies a heavy gold commerical plate and epoxy coating to resist tarnishing. The metal fittings for the Cross-type refill pens are also treated with gold titanium nitride - Wow!
For almost 20 years, Market Penmaker pens have only been offered at Seattle's world famous Pike's Market (a great place to go if you ever get the chance), and at a few select upscale galleries. We are excited to now offer them online here at Heartwood Gifts!
