Phasha (pronounced 'fasha' - with a small 'a' sound) is derived from a blend of its Canadian founder's two names - Phil and Natasha. Phasha leather journals are made to resemble those dating back to the old-world 16th century, and are beautifully handcrafted by skilled artisans using the same techniques handed down from generation to generation. Since its inception in 2005, the company has significantly boosted the economy in the small town in India where their leather products are created. They've succeeded in doing this largly in part by paying fair-trade wages to their dedicated and talented artisans, and giving back financially to the community through programs and initiatives.

There will be variations from one item to the next, as real leather includes inheritent natural characteristics like discoloration, wrinkles, or stretch marks, adding to the beauty and uniqueness of each piece.
