This Two Are One Wood Pendant is a one of a kind piece individually carved freehand on a cross section of a fallen Arbutus tree branch.

The idea behind “Two Are One” is pretty down‑to‑earth. It’s about two people who stay themselves but choose to share a life — not in a dramatic way, just in the everyday sense of being connected and steady for each other. The design reflects that: two shapes cut from the same piece of Arbutus wood, literally coming from the same grain.
It’s the kind of symbol people give when they want to say “we’re in this together” without making a big speech. Simple, honest, and easy to relate to. Whether it’s for a partner, a close friend, or someone who’s been a constant in your life, the meaning comes through naturally.

Tip: If you prefer a slightly darker, richer tone to the wood, you can rub a tiny bit of olive oil into the surface. Arbutus takes oil really well, and it deepens the grain without changing the feel of the piece. Just a light wipe is enough.

Arbutus branches which have fallen naturally are collected from the forest floor. The Arbutus, or Pacific Madrone, is a tree unique to the Pacific North West, defining the West Coast with its stunning and rugged beauty. The wood is hard, durable and ages well, the colour becoming richer the more it is worn.
After the branches are harvested from the forest floor, they are cut into discs, sanded until they are smooth, and then allowed to dry for a period of six months. Each nature inspired design is then delicately carved individually and free-hand on a scroll saw using a rare microblade, making each one an original piece of art. A water-based satin varnish is applied and the jewelry completed with the various finishings.
Each individually hand carved piece makes a truly wonderful eco-friendly unique gift, and contains a design inspired by Canada's natural West Coast.
